Beautiful watercolor by the Avignon painter Louis Agricol Montagné which represents an interior scene in the artist's property in Pontmartin (Les Angles - Gard).
An artist who is used to depicting scenes in Provence using the watercolor technique, Louis Montagné offers us here a beautiful scene in a Provençal interior with the sideboard, the pan pot, salt box, pottery...

Student of Paul Saïn and Cormon, he appeared at the Salon des Artistes français from 1901, where he obtained numerous awards during his participation. He exhibited very early in Avignon with the merchants Kassler and Mouret and during this period created decorative panels in collaboration with the painter Paul Saïn.
Wounded during the First World War, he lost an eye. This will not prevent him from having a brilliant career.
He appointed director of the Avignon School of Fine Arts from 1920 to 1928.
Louis Agricol Montagné is part of the Group of 13.

Dimensions: 45 x 60 cm at sight and 66.5 x 81.5 cm with its frame in original wood.
