Beautiful work with strong contrast by the Cannes painter, Louis Pastour which represents a road leading to Le Cannet animated by an oratory and characters.

Worker during the day and student in the evening at the School of Decorative Arts in the city of Nice then Paris, he exhibited for the first time at the age of 45. In 1902, he founded with a group of workers passionate about art: the Association of Fine Arts of Cannes of which he is the general secretary. Through this association, the painters of the region are highlighted by an annual exhibition.
Painter of light with a total mastery of colors, Louis Pastour uses the knife technique to bring his works to life.

Recognized by critics as a painter-poet because of the names of poems they give to his works: Fête de soleil, Reflets d'or, Gloire au matin...

Nb: An old restoration should be noted on the Calvary.

Dimensions: 26 x 47 cm without frame and 40 x 58 cm with its wooden frame.
